Life as of lately have been really, really good.  I’ve always been a happy, glass half full type of person, but I’m just really grateful for what I have right now.  I haven’t done much personal posts here lately, but on top of things being good, I have been extremely busy!  September & October have been the craziest months of 2016. I’ve traveled to California 3 times in the month of September. I was just in DC visiting for a week my boyfriend and I am currently en route to Chicago to teach our last Bloguettes workshop of the year this weekend!

My days have just been flying by, which is why I love spending my time in DC- it seems like time passes a whole lot slower here for me.  For those of you guys that don’t know, my boyfriend and I recently started our long distant relationship journey back in July.  He lives in Washington, DC going to school in Georgetown and I am holding the house in Phoenix (read more about it HERE).  It has only been about 3 months since he moved, but I think overall long distance hasn’t been too bad for us.  We communicate really well and thanks to facetime, it doesn’t feel like we’re 2,300 miles away from each other.  We both also have a lot going on, so we’re keeping ourselves busy until we finally get to see each other.  This past trip was my second time visiting him in DC and it’s been so nice to just hang out and spend some time together.  We did a whole lot of nothing really- just exploring Georgetown, making dinner, and working out.  These simple things we used to do are the things that I miss every day, but I just take it all in when I’m there visiting him!

I haven’t explored much of DC, but the Georgetown area and it’s all so incredibly charming!  The architecture, the brick walls, the colored doors, everything about is so adorable and just SO east coast- I love it.  We took a couple fun shots the other day when we were walking around town!  Other than adjusting to our new long distance normal, Collin’s cousin/my friend, Jessica moved into my 2nd bedroom and it’s been a lot of fun!  I haven’t had a roommate for a little over 2 years, so I was a little scared, but it’s been great and she’s just been a great roommate.  Other than that, I’ve been vegan for about 2 weeks now. Long story short, Jess & I watched documentaries that really made me feel strongly about going vegan.  Not too much to report on that, but I’ll update you all on how it goes a few months from now! hah.

I’ll be sure to do more of these personal posts as they’re also super therapeutic for me 🙂  Look out for more blog posts from my recent trip to Santa Barbara and Chicago soon! xx
