It’s been almost two months since I last posted on my blog, and a whole lot has happened since the New Year. 2017 has been, well, different—I have no other words to describe it. A lot has shifted in my personal + professional life—again, not good or bad, but just… different. Every year I learn a different life lesson, but I have a feeling that I’m going to be learning a whole lot in 2017.

I’ve decided that 2017 is the year for me. The year for me to put focus back on my needs, my career, and just simply myself. I have always been a people pleaser and I’ve always had a difficult time saying no to people or to things, but I’ve decided that I need to learn to say no. Otherwise, I won’t learn to be my best. I find myself continuously being late to things, not able to give my 100%, and just not feeling satisfied. While I know I’m doing a good job, for some reason, I often still feel like I’m not prepared or that I half-ass things. Do you ever find yourself feeling that way? 2017 is the year for me to be my best, and it all starts with listening to my intuitions, being disciplined, but also having fun!

Bloguettes has started the New Year with our best month yet when it comes to profit. We launched our first ever online class, we are already booked for 4 different out-of-state speaking engagements, and we just wrapped up one of my favorite workshops in Austin last weekend! We’ve also been busy planning our Bloguettes company retreat in Sedona, that we’ll be leaving for tomorrow all while trying to handle our company and its growth.

As for my blog, well, I started the year by saying that I would blog religiously by posting twice a week, but I definitely dropped the ball on that since I was going through a lot in my personal life. However, I’ve decided that all changes now. Again, I’m going to be disciplined and create a system for myself, so I CAN post twice a week no matter what my day-to-day schedule looks like!

Thank you all for your continuous support and for following me. It really means a lot and I promise I won’t disappoint you! 2017 is the year for me to be my best self.
