WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MY BLOG

Something Sakura: What You Can Expect From My Blog Something Sakura: What You Can Expect From My Blog Something Sakura: What You Can Expect From My Blog

As most of you guys know by now, as of March, I have decided to take blogging on full-time. If not, you can read all about my transition HERE. I started my blog in 2014 as a creative outlet where I can share my personal life and my love for photography, travel, fashion, and design. I’ve also shared a lot of big life moments with you- all the ups + downs. My blog has been something that I have kept super personal + authentic, but that’s why I love it. It’s therapeutic for me to be here. I do it because I love creating content- all aspects of it.

The issue is that in the last five years of my blog, I had completely put my blog on the back burner because I was so busy running my other business that took up a lot of my time and energy. As I mentioned above, my blog is my creative outlet, but I was too exhausted and could not prioritize my blog. The only time I could dedicate was my Instagram account and maybe one blog post a month!

Well, that’s all gonna change, friends. What you can expect from my blog is three different blog post a week- tip, fashion/beauty, and personal. Sometimes these can overlap, but I want to try to stick to it and make sure that I give you guys different type of content that at the end of the day all encompass who I am and my mission for this blog. You’re also going to see a lot about me becoming a new mom, about my new growing family, and my baby girl. I know a lot of my readers are not mamas, and I’m not telling you that I’m becoming a full-blown mommy blogger, but I will be sharing my journey a little bit more!

Another thing that I want to bring up is that I never started my blog to become an “influencer.” When I started my blog, that was never my intention, nor did that term exist. It’s difficult for me to use my social media or my blog in a way to sell or recommend things. You have to remember, that I started it because I wanted to journal my life. That’s not going to change, but recommendation + tips are also what people want to see, and I need to be better about becoming a resource to you guys! I sometimes think to myself, “who am I to give tips and recommendations?” or “no one cares about how you do your hair or where you bought that from, Sakura.” It’s all just new to me and maybe a little bit of self-doubt, but I want to become a resource for you guys too.

Thank you guys for all of your love + support as I make this transition. I always promise to stay personal + authentic here. I’m never going to be someone I’m not. xx
