Southwest Brand Ambassador

Something Sakura: Southwest Brand Ambassador Something Sakura: Southwest Brand Ambassador

As most of you guys know by now, I’m honored to say that I am Southwest Airline’s Brand Ambassador as of January of 2018. This has been something I had to keep a secret since last October and I’m excited that I get to finally share it. I have been getting a lot of questions regarding the partnership and I wanted to do a post on how I was given this opportunity, what it entails, and how this partnership has changed my perspective + outlook on my blog for the good!

Southwest Airlines has been my preferred airline for quite some time and it especially became my favorite after we started Bloguettes. I had the opportunity to visit Southwest HQ in January and I learned so much more about the company, their values, and their history, which made me love the company even more! My partnership with them is for the year and I’m looking forward to sharing everything with you all.

How It Came About

Back in October, I received an email from Southwest saying that I was chosen to be one of twelve of their brand ambassadors and this program was the first ever. I was honored but so confused as to how I out of all people was picked to be a part of it. I later found out that I was nominated from their internal corporate team and I was truly honored! I wasn’t sure who else was going to be a part of the program until I was invited to Southwest HQ to kick off the program.

I met all of the other ambassadors and we basically became a family after two days in Dallas!

What It Entails

I basically will be sharing + documenting my love for Southwest Airlines and use my platform to share all of the amazing Southwest perks. I will be traveling, attending their loyalty program events, and so much more. As I mentioned above, Southwest Airlines has always been my preferred airline for sooooooo many reasons, and now I can share why!

What This Partnership Brought Me

My blog has always come second to Bloguettes. Bloguettes is my fulltime job, it’s my income and my blog has always been a creative outlet for me. Since I was approached for this partnership, it made me take my blog very seriously, especially because I owed them reporting at the end of every month. This partnership was exactly what I needed to make it more of a priority and structure it, so I can actually make time to do it.
I’m sure you all have noticed me ramping up my blog post, creating content regularly, and just overall make more of an effort since October. I sat down and created a concrete editorial calendar and have scheduled time in my morning before I go to the office to work on my blog and actually schedule shoots.

I’ve been having a lot of fun, but I definitely wish I would have made more of an effort and done all of these years ago. I guess it’s better late than never!

I’m excited to share my journey with you all this year and have you be a part of this with me!
