BOMBER JACKET | JEANS | SHOES | LIPSTICK

 Happy Monday and Happy Halloween!!

I recently shared on Snapchat/Instagram Stories that I was shooting with my dear friend, Hannah aka @minkmade, for some fashion posts for the blog earlier last week.  Like I mentioned before, I love shooting my own content for my blog, but it’s a little bit of a struggle to shoot fashion posts yourself, so I’ve been shooting with Hannah for quite sometime now.  Hannah recently moved to Austin, so she flies in about once a month to shoot with a few of her clients in Phoenix, including myself 🙂  I’ve had quite an obsession with bomber jackets lately and I’ve been patiently waiting to shoot this adorable Tula Rosa bomber jacket that I snagged from one of my favorite local boutiques, Vida Moulin!

So, before I get into today’s post, I want to bring a little attention to something.  I am no fashion expert and I am no fashion blogger- I just wear what I like and what I think looks good.  I’ve always kept my blog a personal space and the second I start talking about why I wore what and how and why you should wear this, I feel like that personal touch gets taken away from the post for some reason.  I know this is my space to be able to share whatever I want, but it’s just how I feel when I do fashion posts.  My goal for fashion posts on my blog is to have beautiful imagery, but always have that personal touch and meaningful content to every post!  So with that said, I wanted to chat about self confidence in entrepreneurship in today’s post- hence why I titled it, “you da bomb” 😉

Through teaching Bloguettes workshops, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people that are looking to start a blog or business, but they always have the struggle of self doubt and they’re lacking major confidence.  I’ve had multiple people come up to me and ask me about self confidence and where I’ve gotten my confidence from, but truth is, I’m right there with you.  It’s completely normal to doubt ourselves and we all are our worst critics!  I think it all starts from ourselves by switching that mentality and say to yourself, “I love this and I’m doing this for me”.   The second you have that confidence, people can see it and they’re completely on board!  And if you have those haters, WHO CARES, because remember,  you’re doing it because you love it and it’s for no one else!

After starting my blog and really utilizing social media to create my personal brand, I’ve heard through circles that some people would call me self absorbed.  Sure, it stung a little for a second, but it doesn’t matter to me at the end of the day because it makes me happy and I really enjoy everything about social media and having a blog.  I love being behind & in front of the camera, I love editing the photos, and I love writing the posts.  I’m not doing it all for haters.  I know it’s not easy to have self confidence all of a sudden, but I think it’s really important to do something that challenges you and gets you out of your comfort zone, because the more you do it, the more confidence you’ll have in yourself- and that’s the key to self confidence!  Don’t ever stop yourself from doing something that you love, because you’re afraid of what other people are going to think.  Do it because you love it and people will start loving it too 🙂

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! xx
