I spent my Thanksgiving week in DC visiting the boy. It was both of our first time being away from family & friends for Thanksgiving, but we had a great time being lazy all day doing nothing but eating and watching movies all day long! The rest of the time in DC, I spent it strolling around the neighborhood riding my new + adorable bike from Brilliant Bicycle! Everyone walks everywhere in DC and I’m just not quite used to the cold weather, so I was excited to get the bike to get around town whenever I visit Collin. I love everything from the color, the leather handles and seat, to the different speed hub that helps me cruise upward on moderate hills in DC- it’s the perfect city bike that isn’t quite a beach cruiser, but also isn’t ugly like a mountain bike!
I have been getting more and more familiar with area and I’m starting to discover my go-to places thanks to everyone’s recommendations. Although I work out of the office when I’m in Arizona for Bloguettes, I’m fortunate that I can technically work from everywhere and anywhere- I just need wifi, my laptop, and my cell phone. I love working from home, but I find myself more productive when I work from coffee shops and I discovered Grace Street Coffee in George Town on my last trip and worked from there a couple of the days out of the week! The trip to DC was my last trip for the year and for Christmas my family will be flying into Arizona so my family & Collin’s family can spend it all together!
As the year is coming to an end, I’ve been reflecting back on things a lot and starting to set my goals for 2017. Stay tuned for some fun blog posts!
