Happy Valentine’s Day, my friends!! Let me just start off by saying although this post may seem like I’m going to have a fancy schmancy Valentine’s Day today, I’m really not and I’m perfectly fine with it!  I was just really obsessed with this beautiful red dress from For Love & Lemons  when I saw it and I knew I had to do a special Valentine’s Day post on it.

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day, it’s just a cute & fun holiday for everyone!  Even the 6 years I was single before I met the boy, I would celebrate it with my girlfriends every year by going to dinner and the movies or just hanging out at home and watching chick flicks (#girlpower).  Any who, the boy and I decided that we are going to keep it simple for Vday this year- no gifts, just cards.  We’ll make some home cooked meal & watch a movie- sounds boring, but I’m really excited for it.  These last few weeks have been insane and I’ll be headed to San Francisco for our Bloguettes workshop next weekend, so it’ll be nice to spend quality time with him at home.

Okay, so back to the story behind this dress!  Like I mentioned above, I saw it and I had to have it, but the problem always is… when am I ever going to wear it?  Living in Arizona, there isn’t a whole lot of opportunity to get dressed up like this.  I have a couple weddings coming up this year, but never in a million years would I wear a sheer, almost-see-through dress?? So I justified getting it by doing a vday post on it- I mean… why not, right?!  This is most definitely the perfect Valentine’s Day dress- it’s beautiful, sexy, but yet classy at the same time.  I wore it with my most cherished nude Louboutins the boy got me for our first Christmas together (insert heart eye emoji here).  I can also definitely see myself wearing it to special occasions like anniversary celebrations and such!

I hope everyone has a wonderful & loving Valentine’s Day!  Love you all! xo
