Happy Monday, friends!
Last weekend, the boyfriend and I had an activity-filled weekend in Tempe thanks to Tempe Tourism! Tempe was my first home away from home when I moved to Arizona seven years ago to attend ASU and I haven’t explored around much since I graduated, so it was so much fun reminiscing!
Our weekend started off by checking in at our hotel at Moxy Phoenix Tempe. The Moxy is suuuch a cool hotel- they put so much attention to the details of the decor, the experience, everything! If you’re looking for a grammable hotel in Tempe, this one’s definitely it. Once we checked in our rooms, we immediately headed over to Tempe Beach Park to meet up with our friends and go to the Innings Festival.
The Innings Festival is a music festival that focused around Spring Training and it was a 3-day event with 3 stages and over 35 artists. There were so many amazing artists and fun experiences with great activations and great food + drinks! The next day we slept in a little and headed over to brunch to my absolute favorite place, Ncounter. Ncounter was my go-to place in college and it still is hah. I know it’s frowned upon to get a salad for brunch, but I swear, they have the best chopped salad there and it’s delicious any time of the day! I mean… everything at NCounter is amazing!
We then spent our afternoon at the spring training game to watch the Angels vs Diamondbacks at Tempe Diablo Stadium. When you’re in Arizona during February-March, going to a spring training game is a must. The crowd, the energy, the weather. There’s nothing like spring training games that tells you spring is here 🙂
We spent our Sunday at the Tempe Festival of the Arts walking around Mill Avenue, exploring, looking at arts, and stuffing our faces. Mill Avenue is the “main street” of Tempe with tons of restaurants, bars, and retail shops. There’s also a lot of history on Mill, so if you’re visiting Tempe, Mill Avenue is definitely a place to go check out!
