In the beginning of December, I surprised Collin with a trip to Palm Springs for his birthday.  There’s something about Palm Springs that I’ve always loved- it’s calm, relaxing, but yet still so much to do and screams out vacation and I knew it would be a perfect getaway for us.  Palm Springs is only a 4 hour drive, so we decided to do a little road trip and take Mister Winston (my miniature schnauzer).

I’ve been to Palm Springs a couple times during Coachella Music Festival and had visited the ACE hotel for a party.  The second I stepped into the lobby, I knew I had to stay at the ACE hotel the next time I had visited, so sure enough I knew exactly where I wanted to book the hotel at.  Since we had Winston, I thought it would be nice to have a little patio as well as a fire pit since it was a bit chilly out, so we got the Patio with Fireplace suite.  The moment we arrived, the staff was just the sweetest and the vibe of the hotel was just like I remembered the time I came during Coachella.  Now, here’s the thing about a lot of these boutique hotels in Palm Springs, you must have appreciation for design- it’s definitely not your fluffy robe & cookie cutter hotel rooms.

The second we got there the staff welcomed us with open arms and showed us the way to the room.  There are so many cute unique photo opps around the property of the hotel that was I was going nuts!  As we walked into our room, the first thing you will notice is that it is like you’re literally glamping (glam+camping)- there’s a big white canvas material that covers the room!  Then of course you see the ginormous California king bed, which was the most comfortable thing ever.

We enjoyed the two days there relaxing, going to the spa, going to antique shops around Palm Springs, and checking out different restaurants all over town.  Unfortunately it was chilly and a bit drizzly, but we got to stay in and relax- which is exactly what we wanted out of this trip!  There’s nothing better than opening up a bottle of wine from Chloe Collection (absolutely delicious, btw) and listening to Bon Iver by the fire pit in the cool weather 🙂

I’ll be headed to Palm Springs again a couple times this first half of 2016 because we will be holding our 2nd Bloguettes Instagram Camp and I couldn’t be more excited.  I’ll be sure to share more news about it soon!

If you want more info on the ACE hotel, be sure to check them out online!  They have a couple other properties throughout the country.  Happy Tuesday, friends!
