Oh my… this blog post is way overdue! Earlier this month, Kell and I went to the beautiful island of Nassau in the Bahamas for our babymoon! For those of you that don’t know what a babymoon is, a babymoon is your last trip before the baby comes. It’s supposed to be a nice, relaxing vacation before your life changes FOREVERRRRR. Okay, maybe a little dramatic, but seriously. lol.

I was 26 weeks when we went and ladies, if you are thinking about going on a babymoon, I highly recommend going around 26-28 weeks! My bump had finally popped, and I definitely felt + looked pregnant, but I was uncomfortable yet. It was seriously perfect timing! We chose the Bahamas because we wanted to go somewhere warm + tropical in February and were given the okay from the doctors for not having Zika. We were also set on the Bahamas once we found out that Southwest Airlines flew there!

The length of our trip was also perfect. We stayed at the Baha Mar Grand Hyatt for five nights and six days. At first, I thought it might have been too long for a trip where you do absolutely nothing but lounge around by the pool or the beach, but by the end of the trip, it was perfect. Kell and I seriously enjoyed our time together so much. We did nothing but eat, hang out by the pool/beach, and watch movies!  The resort was absolutely beautiful and the resort has everything you need!  The customer service was exceptional and I couldn’t say better things about it! Something that I wish I would have known is how expensive things are in the Bahamas… doesn’t matter if you are on the resort or not. We paid about $60 per meal without drinks! Thank goodness we booked everything else with points!

If you’re contemplating whether or not to go on a babymoon, I would highly suggest going if you can! We really hesitated to go on this trip and to spend money before having a baby, but you can’t put a $$$ on the memories you create with your future baby daddy. I loved the memories we created together before we welcome our little bundle of joy! 🙂
