Here on my blog, I’m usually in front of the camera. I love being in front of the camera, but there’s nothing like being the person behind it. I do a lot of photography for work, but I rarely do portrait sessions of other people as a freelancer… well, that is until last week! (read my photography FAQ post here)
My dearest friends, Jake + Mariah, asked me to shoot their engagement session and I had a blast doing it! Jake and I have been friends since I was in college and I was introduced to Mariah when they started dating. Believe it or not, they have been doing long distance their entire relationship between California + Arizona! I couldn’t be more excited for their next chapter in life together.
I’ve never been a fan of cheesy portrait sessions and they were super nervous, so I asked them to completely be themselves and have fun. I was able to capture their dynamic, their personalities, and most importantly… their deep love for one another.
