It’s been almost a month since our Instagram Summer Camp and I’m still smiling ear to ear when I think about it.  I’ve been traveling a bunch since the camp and I haven’t had a chance to do a recap post, so I finally got around to it!  If ya didn’t know, we (Bloguettes) held a huge event called the Instagram Summer Camp at The Saguaro in Scottsdale last month.  We’ve had this idea for sometime now and we were able to pull it off in a little over two months and it was bigger and better than we had imagined it to be!  The objective of this event was for people to learn how to take different styles of GOOD phone photography just for Instagram in a fun, interactive way!

We wanted it to be hands-on and super interactive, so we had stations set up all throughout the amazing Saguaro for different styles of photography (product styling, landscape, portrait, lifestyle, food photography, and branding) and each station was lead by a “Camp Director” which were amazing photographers, creative directors, and Instagram influencers in the Valley.  I had an opportunity to lead the lifestyle station with my right hand girl & creative director of Bloguettes, Gabi!

The event was initially supposed to be for 50 people– it sold out immediately and we had to push it out to 90 people at the end.  It was definitely a big production and we all worked really, really hard to make it a great event.  We got great feedback from all of our sponsors, campers, and camp directors and we hope to do it again soon!

Thank you for those that came out to our event and we hope you all can make it out to our Phoenix 2-day branding workshop in September! Oh, and I can’t forget to thank Hannah Minkner from Minkmade for taking these amazing photos from our event.  If it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t have captured the event!  To see more photos from the camp, click here!
